2011 turned out to be an eventful year for me, and I’m humbled and grateful for the opportunities that have been provided. After being approached by an old DJ acquaintance who now runs the fantastic downtempo/chillout label Cold Busted, to remix a track for the label, I have now completed several projects including a couple of remixes, an original track for a label compilation, a mix CD (Stone Cold Busted 2) and an entire LP entitled Seven Wonders.
Preview Seven Wonders:
Two very nice reviews of the album were written, one by the e-zine Igloo Magazine and one by the blog This Is Why We Dance.
One of the projects involved a remix of an artist from Japan who goes by the name Blue in Green (yes, as in Miles Davis). This young producer is a jazz and bossa Nova guitarist who delves into jazz influenced hip hop and his music is truly remarkable. I was very pleased to have the opportunity to remix one of his tracks which you can preview here:
I’m looking forward to another productive year in 2012 and want to wish anyone who visits this little corner of the interwebs a wonderful and happy New Year.
